T14SG Switch Assignments

After all the detailed programming of your Futaba transmitter T14SG you may now wonder what switch does what? So, here's a quick reference at your convenience...
Updates:
2. Dual rate control switches added.
1. Added a link to setting up the Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal.

  • SA: this switch automatically gets assigned by Futaba's firmware 2.02 and later and controls voice output of telemetry warnings. You are free to change or remove this predefined assignment. You do this in the telemetry configuration page of a specific telemetry data set.
  • SA: this switch controls the different stick curves for rudder operation:
    • top: linear stick curve,
    • middle: slight exponential stick curve,
    • bottom: more exponential stick curve.
  • SB: controls IOC, the Intelligent Orientation Control; switch positions mimic those of the genuine DJI transmitter:
    • top: IOC is off,
    • middle: orientation lock,
    • bottom: home lock.
  • SC: controls the flight mode; again switch positions mimic those of the DJI transmitter:
    • top: GPS and ATTI control,
    • middle: only ATTI control,
    • bottom: depending on your settings, either ATT oder manual flight mode.
  • SF: this switch controls the different stick curves for aileron and elevator operation:
    • top: linear stick curve,
    • middle: slight exponential stick curve,
    • bottom: more exponential stick curve.
  • SF: reduces rudder stick command by one half when this switch is on. This controls mixer 1.
  • SG: triggers Naza-M failsafe immediately when set to on. Mixer 2 is responsible for this function. See also T14SG and the Phantom Failsafe.
  • SH: this key (spring-loaded switch) resets timers T1 and T2 when flipped on.
  • LS: the left side lever. It is wired up to channel 5 AUX1. In a future hardware upgrade of the Phantom using the Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal this will control the camera tilt angle. See also my upgrade story for the Zenmuse H3-2D for details.
